Michigan won just its second national championship in men’s basketball on Monday night and the first for the program since 1989. And the Wolverines have made their plans official to celebrate with fans in Ann Arbor this weekend.
Per release, the University of Michigan and Champions Circle will be hosting a parade on Saturday, April 11 followed by a celebration for the team. The parade through Ann Arbor is set to begin at 10 a.m., followed by a ticketed celebration for the team at the Crisler Center
at 1 p.m.
According to the details of the release, the parade is set to begin in front of the President’s House on South University Drive before traveling down State Street and ending at Yost Ice Arena – which is the same route that the football team used during its parade following the 2023 season for those that were in attendance.
Fans are encouraged to line South University Drive near the President’s House and Michigan Union as well as State Street from the Michigan Union toward Yost Ice Arena.
Ticket proceeds for the celebration at Crisler Center will go towards University of Michigan student athletes and doors will open at noon. For those who can’t attend, the celebration will also be broadcast on Big Ten Network and available for streaming in the Fox Sports App.
