Heartbreaking losses have become a common trend that Bengals fans are far too familiar with this season, as Cincinnati drops its 8th loss on the season to the New England Patriots, 26-20.
The Bengals were
without Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, Trey Hendrickson, and Tee Higgins (on the final drive), but managed to make it incredibly competitive.
Despite no one believing the Bengals could knock off the Patriots, this team had a chance to win the game in the final minutes.
Joe Flacco was without all his first-team weapons but came up just short after the officials swallowed their whistles on back-to-back plays with quite a bit of contact on the Bengals receivers.
We can be upset, but the reality is that the Bengals are now 3-8 on the season and have dropped eight of their last nine since starting 2-0.
The team will now head to Baltimore for a Thanksgiving night matchup with the Ravens, and the attention now shifts to Joe Burrow and his potential return.
