Your Oregon Ducks played host to the #10 UCLA Bruins on Friday night, looking to bounce back from a tough loss to Illinois. It was yet another defensive showdown again on Friday, but the Bruins were by far the more aggressive team, outshooting Oregon 8-2 in the first half, but neither side could break through, ending the half with a 0-0 tie.
The second half was more of the same, fantastic defense by both sides, and UCLA being the more aggressive team, outshooting the Ducks 13-5 for the 2nd half. But,
unfortunately for Oregon, the Bruins would break through in the 88th minute of the match, putting in a penalty shot to give UCLA a 1-0 lead, and sealing the win for the Bruins.
It was another hard-fought loss for the Ducks, who have suddenly lost three in a row after their hot start to the season. The defense has been spectacular, but the offense has been lacking. If they hope to turn things around, they need to get the offense going again and quickly. Their next change will be against Penn State on 10/8/26.
As always, ‘Sco Ducks
