Three Rutgers women’s rowers were named to the CRCA All-American teams on Friday, with Lily Wood and Chiara Saccomando earning second-team honors and Elena Moran being named an honorable mention.
This is the third all-American honor earned by Wood, joining Hannah Heideveld, another Rutgers rower, to achieve the feat. This is her second year in a row earning CRCA All-American second team honors, after she earned honorable mention honors in 2024. She is also the first Scarlet Knight to earn all-Big
Ten honors three times.
Moran and Saccomando also earned all-Big Ten honors this season as well.
Under ninth-year head coach Justin Price, Rutgers women’s rowing has earned 21 all-america honors. It also marks the second consecutive season the Scarlet Knights earned three national distinctions.
Under the leadership of Moran, Saccomando, Wood and Price, Rutgers women’s rowing earned second place in the Big Ten Championships, coming in a few lengths behind reigning Big Ten Champion, Washington. They also earned 11th place at the NCAA championships down in Georgia a few weeks ago.
