Dan Quinn spoke to reporters after Friday’s practice and confirmed several things that general manager Adam Peters said earlier today in an interview with the Junkies on 106.7-FM The Fan in Washington. Jayden Daniels isn’t getting surgery and he won’t be placed on injured reserve. He’s considered week-to-week, and the team is happy with the positive signs they’ve seen.

Quinn wouldn’t commit to the prospect any future surgery, and said the team’s record wouldn’t play into that decision. He also said no

decision has been made about Daniels traveling with the team for their Week 4 game in London.

The Commanders had 14 players on their injury report on Wednesday who were either limited or not participating. Daniels and Nick Cross have already been ruled out, and Quinn said three other players were unlikely to be ready for Sunday’s home opener against the Seattle Seahawks. Frankie Luvu (groin) and Chig Okonkwo (hamstring) will be missing their second games, and Sam Cosmi (concussion) misses his first of the season.
