Luis de la Fuente has named his Spain squad for World Cup 2026 and included eight Barcelona players on his roster for the competition.
Pedri, Pau Cubarsi, Ferran Torres, Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres are all regulars for La Roja and it was no surprise to see the quintet included.
Joan Garcia and Eric Garcia also got the nod after impressive campaigns, while Gavi did enough to return to the national side following his return from injury.
Yet one of Barca’s most impressive players this season – Gerard Martin
– missed out.
Hansi Flick has been full of praise for Martin at the end of the season, saying after the team’s final game: “He has everything he needs to play in this position. His attitude and mentality are incredible.”
So today’s Barca Blaugranes Question of the Day is:
Did Gerard Martin deserve a place in Spain’s World Cup 2026 after his impressive season with Barcelona?
