The transfer portal is officially open and we are here to track every move that Villanova makes.
This 15-day period has become one of the most important stretches of the year in college basketball. Teams are losing players at a high rate and coaches are working to replace holes from year to year. Kevin Willard was able to accomplish this in his first offseason with the Wildcats and will be looking to do so once again.
The portal officially opened on April 7. Players will have until April 21 to leave
their current schools and begin looking for new homes. It is going to be another busy offseason for Villanova and it has started already.

Villanova Transfer Portal Movement
Tuesday, April 7
- Oregon forward Kwame Evans becomes the first scheduled visit for Villanova. The transfer portal window opened on Tuesday and the Wildcats did not waste time scheduling a visit with Evans, who is expected to be on campus this week. The 6-foot-10 big He averaged 13.3 points and 7.4 rebounds per game this past season.
Monday, April 6
- Freshman center Braden Pierce became the third Wildcat to share his intention of entering the transfer portal. The 7 -foot big served as the backup center for Villanova in his first year with the team. He played in 30 games, averaging 1.2 points and 0.9 rebounds.
Sunday, April 5
- Point guard Acaden Lewis announced that he will test the waters of the 2026 NBA Draft while maintaining his eligibility. Lewis reportedly turned down a lucrative offer from Villanova and will enter the transfer portal. He averaged 12.2 points and 5.3 assists for the Wildcats as a freshman.
- Guard Bryce Lindsay shared that he will be back in the transfer portal for the third time. The 6-foot-3 sophomore averaged 12.3 points per game for Villanova. He will transfer to his fourth school in four years.
Friday, April 3
- Zion Stanford was not with Villanova in the final weeks of the season. He announced via his agent that he would be entering the transfer portal. He did not appear in a game from Feb. 4 on. Stanford averaged 1.3 points in 5.1 minutes per game this season.
