The NFL trade deadline came and went without the Buffalo Bills adding any reinforcements for the stretch run of a season centered around Super Bowl aspirations.
While general manager Brandon Beane has built
a reputation as a wheeler and dealer, Tuesday marked the first NFL trade deadline since 2021 that Big Baller Beane didn’t go out and acquire any players to solidify the Bills’ roster needs.
Today’s edition of Buffalo Rumblinks leads off by examining how Beane, by standing pat at the deadline, feels confident that the Bills have enough talent (as their roster is currently constructed) to win the Super Bowl.
Brandon Beane reflects on trade deadline
To all the Bills fans who were angry that the trade deadline came and went without Buffalo acquiring any roster help, Brandon Beane has a message for you: “Believe me, I went home as mad as any other fan. I wanted to do things,” Beane told reporters during a Wednesday news conference.
Linked below: Hear how Beane still believes the Bills have a roster capable of hoisting the Lombardi Trophy in February; how injuries remain a pressing concern; why he’s confident familiar faces like defensive tackle Jordan Phillips and wide receiver Gabe Davis will provide enough help for his roster; and more.
