Sebastian Fundora scored a stoppage win in tonight’s DAZN main event, but it came in the very waning moments of the fight as he would drop Ermal Hadribeaj at the 2:59 minute mark of Round 12 to retain his WBC super welterweight title.
The fight was a messy one with Hadribeaj intent on ducking low, holding, and attempting to wing looping shots against Fundora intermittently. The constant holding would cost Hadribeaj two points in penalty deductions along the way, but the consistent body work from Fundora had
him on weak legs by the end where he found the shot to put him down and out with only one second remaining.
With the win, Fundora is by all accounts lined up for a title unification for the winner of the anticipated upcoming fight between Boots Ennis vs Josh Kelly. When that fights gets formally announced Boots will be the clear favorite to come out on top, and Fundora is already looking forward to what is setting up to be an undisputed title unification in the first half of 2027, actively calling out the winner.
