According to The Ringer’s Tom Pelissero, the Indianapolis Colts have resigned Ade Adebawore to a 2-year, $35 million contract extension (with $13 million signing bonus):
As an otherwise pending free agent,
the former 2023 4th round pick of the Colts in in the midst of a breakout campaign with Indianapolis, recording 19 tackles (8 solo), 4 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, 16 total QB pressures, and 2 passes defensed during 8 games (2 starts).
His pass rushing production has been pretty impressive when one considers that Adebawore was previously in a rotational interior pass rushing role during the 2026 season, with more limited snaps, but has now become a full-time starter in the aftermath of the Colts trading veteran defensive tackle DeForest Buckner early last week.
A number of interested NFL suitors had reportedly called the Colts on Adebawore’s availability, but still only age 25-years-old, Indianapolis considers him a core defensive player of their recently jumpstarted rebuilding efforts and rightfully extended him, even with an expected general manager transition at year-end.
