Dani Olmo has been on media duty with Spain ahead of Tuesday’s Nations League match against Croatia and has been talking about life at Barcelona.
The 28-year-old says that Hansi Flick and Luis de la Fuente want different things from him and says he feels he can still give a lot more to his club side.
“They are two different coaches, they ask me for different things. At Barça be more vertical, attack more spaces, in the national team more freedom between the lines,” he told reporteres.
“I feel good in
both ways and I want to continue demonstrating that. Many titles won with Barça, I can still give much more at Barça.”
Olmo also spoke about Lamine Yamal and thinks the teenager is getting better and better as he matures.
“Lamine continues to improve with each match. He seems to be getting better and more mature every season,” he said.
“At the start of this season, he’s helping us not only with his play but also by scoring goals, which is something he demands of himself. He’s very important for us both at the club and with the national team.”
Tuesday’s game takes Olmo back to Croatia and he admits it’s a “wonderful feeling” to be back in a country where he spent six years after leaving Barcelona
