The Tennessee Titans are set to play their first preseason game on Thursday night against the San Francisco 49ers. Robert Saleh said after today’s joint practice that all healthy Titans players will play in the game. He said the plan is for the starters to play more than one series.
Saleh said early on that he planned on the starters playing in every preseason game. That makes sense with a whole new coaching staff trying to implement a new system on both sides of the ball. The players need all of the live
reps that they can get. It’s part of the reason that the Titans are doing joint practices with all three of the teams they are playing this preseason.
The plan is also for all four quarterbacks to play on Thursday night. I’m interested to see how Will Levis and Hendon Hooker look in comparison to each other. My guess is that neither one of them end up on the 53-man roster in week one, but I do wonder if we will be able to see a big difference in them on Thursday.
