Nobody expected the Falcons to beat the Packers by 21 points, or the Seahawks to lose outright to the Commanders with Sam Darnold returning. The Bears made the Eagles look lost. Anything can happen.
We gave you every option up until the bye. This week’s game against the Broncos will be the best team the 49ers have played to date. Quarterback aside, the Broncos have a quality group of wide receivers, speed at running back, and a buttoned-up defense that’ll test the Niners in ways they haven’t been all season.
The game is at Seattle in Week 5. The first road game in three weeks against a team that had the Niners number in the final month of 2025.
The 49ers return home for a Monday night game against Washington. An emotional letdown after facing your rival is always a tricky spot in sports. From there, they travel to Atlanta to face a potentially pesky Falcons team, especially if Michael Penix continues to play with confidence.
