The Los Angeles Rams (1-2) will travel to the east coast for the first time in the 2026 Regular Season for a Week 4 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles (2-1). The Rams are coming off of a disappointing finish in Week 3 Sunday Night Football where they lost 30-26 to the Denver Broncos. The Rams controlled the majority of the contest until collapsing in the 3rd quarter due to questionable officiating and special teams woes. The Rams will look to right their course in Week 4; relying on key pieces
as they try to work their way back to .500 on the season. What strengths do they have going into their matchup with Philly? Here’s a look at the two teams…
QUARTERBACK
Matthew Stafford is one of the best pure passers of all time. Jalen Hurts is anything but comfortable working as a drop back passer. Look no further than Hurts last 32 games…
SKILL PLAYERS
With the expected return of Puka Nacua, the Rams get a huge boost to their offense which allows Davante Adams to play a #2 role. With Kyren Williams and Blake Corum working as a tandem, the Rams skill players outweigh Saquon Barkley, Devonta Smith, and Makai Lemon.
OFFENSIVE LINE
The Rams offensive line has been really good through three weeks. Coleman Shelton is graded as the No. 1 center in all of football, 73.3, according to Pro Football Focus (PFF). Jackson and Avila both grade in the 70.0s.
The Eagles line has allowed 8 sacks in 3 games; having played the Commanders, Titans, and Bears. They are without Landon Dickerson leaving their interior susceptible.
DEFENSIVE LINE
Both the Rams and Eagles defensive lines have underachieved through three weeks. Aaron Donald, Kobie Turner, and Braden Fiske combine for 0 sacks, while Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, and Jonathan Greenard combine for 1 sack. The Rams defensive line has been pretty stout against the run outside of the 2nd half of football in Australia.
SECONDARY
Originally, I had given the Eagles the upperhand but after digging deeper the Rams have the better defensive backs. Trent McDuffie and Quentin Lake have been two of the best secondary players in all of football.
Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, and Tariq Woolen are a strong trio of cornerbacks but they haven’t had the strongest start to the 2026 season.
SPECIAL TEAMS
The Rams will probably never be favored in this category except for maybe when they play the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving Eve.
COACHING
This game isn’t between Sean McVay and Nick Sirianni. It’s between Sean McVay and Vic Fangio. And then whether Chris Shula can keep Sean Mannion’s offense inconsistent.
If Sean McVay sticks to running the ball enough, Rams will walk away with a win.
