Most Valuable Promotions has confirmed to ESPN that their MVPW-07 card has suffered a bit of a setback as Ellie Scotney has been forced to be pulled off of a scheduled featherweight title fight against Tiara Brown after suffering an injury leading into the fight. The bout was set to co-main for a Nov. 8 card headlined by Alycia Baumgardner vs Elif Nur Turhan.
With this turn of events, which will postpone the Scotney vs Brown fight for the time being, Ramla Ali vs Mikiah Kreps will be elevated to the new
co-main event, which will be for vacant WBO and IBF junior featherweight belts.
“While we’re disappointed Ellie Scotney is unable to compete, we wish her a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing her and Tiara Brown back in the ring soon,” MVP co-founders Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul said in a joint statement. “Ramla Ali now has the biggest opportunity of her professional career against an undefeated Mikiah Kreps…”
No specific word on Scotney’s injury has been provided, but it is expected she’ll be back in action soon enough as they haven’t scrapped the Brown fight altogether. And in an effort to further this upcoming card, MVP claims to be adding more talent to the preliminary card to provide value for fans.
