Like last week, we’re going to give a glimpse at what both groups of beat reporters are saying about today’s joint practice between the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks. Sorry for the late post. I just got home from seeing my new baby niece!
Xavier McKinney is dressed in pads for practice. Did not participate in team walkthrough, but don’t individual drills. His first reps returning from a calf injury. Great sign for Week 1.

Xavier McKinney is back doing
individual drills. We’ll see if he does any team activities. A great sign either way. Jared Bartlett is not practicing which is new. Lloyd, Banks, Anderson, Monk, Bartlett, Sorrell all with the the rehab group on the bikes.

Beat Damarion Williams for a deep TD down the right sideline from Malik Willis. Beat him again on an out in red zone.
Packers starters on offense:

Willis
Jacobs – Brooks
Kraft
Doubs – Golden
Walker – Morgan – Jenkins – Rhyan – Tom
Mostly nondescript start for the offense until Willis finds Kraft down the field for a nice pickup.

Clifford finds Sims on a rollout on the next play.
Seahawks defense all over a Davis-Price Todd play to the outside.
Willis to Musgrave on a crosser for a nice gain.
Malik Willis rolling to his left, throws a jump pass all the way across his body to his right and despite that probably being pretty ill advised, Kraft made a beautiful adjustment, went up and snagged a big catch down the field.

Willis just hit Doubs deep down the sideline. Gorgeous play. Doubs either smoked someone or blew a coverage but he had acres of space. Great ball by Willis.

Tucker Kraft is tearing apart the Seahawks right now.

Looks like Wooden & Brooks have been rotating in up front on first defense with Wyatt apparently sitting out 11-on-11 work.

Melton and Simmons were No 1 flyers

No stool for love today in 7 on 7.

Star so far of #Seahawks’ joint practice at Packers: Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

WR 3 brilliant catches in one possession from San Darnold, last one leaping over the middle. Gets up, spins ball in the grass, pointing first down, letting Green Bay fans know he made those grabs.
Things are getting a bit contentious (surprise!) between the Seahawks’ offense and Green Bay’s defense. Packers CB Kamal Hadden celebrated a nice play near the sideline by talking trash right to Jake Bobo’s face. Ken Walker III took exception and shouted some profanities back.

Jordan Love does everything in 7 on 7 out of the gun (but holding the ball) and goes just 3 for 12 all in red zone. Seahawks D had at least four pass breakups at or near the goal line.

Hadden with another PBU for twos in RZ 7/7, with lotta hollering. Young CB looking to rebound from tough game in Indy.
