The 2026 Purdue football season is here. Let’s wash the taste of the 2025 season out of out mouths with what we hope will be a commanding performance against the Sycamores of Indiana State. On the call for the game tonight will be Purdue football legend Ryan Kerrigan. It will be his first time in the booth so we wish him the best of luck.
As I discussed in my prediction, Purdue has never lost to Indiana State and we hope it won’t tonight. After what Rutgers did last night I’m sure everyone in the
program is one edge about avoiding that same fate. So maybe it’s a good thing for Purdue that Rutgers lost. Put the fear of God into the team (yes I know it should have already been there).
This game will showcase a number of new faces for the Boilermakers as they look to rebuild a team that has been in the basement of the conference of late. Ryan Browne of course is the big name that people will be watching given the pressure on the QB position and his performance from last year. Purdue did their best in the offseason to improve the pieces around him, but was it enough?
