Inter’s sporting director Piero Ausilio has spoken out about the regular speculation linking defender Alessandro Bastoni with a move to Barcelona.
The Catalans giants reportedly have Bastoni at the top of their wanted list ahead of the summer transfer window, but Ausilio has sought to play down talk he will move on at the end of the season.
“Bastoni has a contract with Inter, and there aren’t any situations right now that suggest Bastoni will leave Inter,” he said, via Eurosport.
“Barcelona? I don’t
know what they’re saying in Spain, but we’re happy with what Bastoni has given to Inter, and we’re sure he’ll give a lot more.
“If anyone is interested in Bastoni, they know the phone numbers, so they should do that, they shouldn’t just talk.”
Reports in Spain have claimed today that Barcelona are the only club that could tempt Bastoni away from San Siro and that the defender is not interested in a move to Liverpool despite interest from the Reds.
