TCU right-hander Tommy LaPour, a former Wichita State transfer who became an ace for the Horned Frogs last season, but struggled with injuries this season, was taken by the Minnesota Twins with the 107th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2026 MLB Draft. As a sophomore, LaPour went 8-3 with a 3.09 ERA over 16 starts, striking out 88 over 90.1 innings. He was named an All-Big 12 First Team pitcher and an All-Tournament pick.
LaPour, who spent one season with the Shockers, going 6-3 with a 4.25 ERA over 78.1 innings, 69 strikeouts and 37 walks, missed most of his junior campaign to an arm injury. In limited outings, LaPour finished 1-3 with a 6.35 ERA over six appearances (four starts). He threw 17 innings and struck out 17 batters with 10 walks. The 6-foot-4, 230-pounder from Blue Springs, Missouri was the third and final TCU player taken in the draft.
