The Pittsburgh Steelers are in Paris after taking a redeye flight on Thursday night into Friday morning. This marks the second straight year Pittsburgh has played overseas, having defeated the Minnesota Vikings in Dublin last season.
If it were up to wide receiver DK Metcalf, though, this would be the last time he plays overseas. The Steelers’ receiver was asked about any other places he’d like to play, and he made it clear he wants to only play in the U.S. going forward.
“No, sir,” Metcalf said when
asked if there was any other country he’d like to play in. “Because I really don’t like traveling outside the U.S. to play football.”
The NFL has expanded its international slate over the last handful of years. While London games have become the norm, there have been games played in Germany, Spain, Dublin, and Australia ahead of the first game in Paris that will take place on Sunday.
