What is the story about?
If someone told me a month ago that Jorge Polanco would be the key piece in getting the Seattle Mariners their first playoff victory in 24 years, I probably would have told you that you were crazy. However, in last night’s low-scoring outing between the Mariners and the Tigers, it was the two home runs from Polanco that made all the difference for the M’s, and were really the only marks against Skubal’s otherwise strong outing.
The series, now tied 1-1, will head to Detroit on Tuesday, where we’ll
see Jack Flaherty take the mound, and hopefully it will be a Good Jack night.
