The Cleveland Browns have made one small move so far at the NFL trade deadline, but the whole NFL world is talking about the New York Jets. The Browns won’t miss Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, so moving up a round
in next year’s NFL draft is a helpful piece of business.
With under two hours to go until the trade deadline passes, rumors have been swirling all day that the Jets were open to making big moves, which could lead to WR Garrett Wilson being in play for the Browns. So far on deadline day, three trades have happened that could directly impact Cleveland in four different ways.
- Jacksonville Jaguars acquire WR Jakobi Meyers in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders
- Browns impact: Cleveland owns the Jaguars first-round pick, which could drop considerably if they make the playoffs
- Browns impact #2: Cleveland visits Las Vegas in Week 12 of the season
- Jets trade CB Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts
- Jets trade DT Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys
- Browns impact: Cleveland and New York play this week, with the Jets having a fire sale today
- Browns impact #2: The two teams not only match up this week, but both are in need of a long-term quarterback, and now, both have extra picks in the upcoming NFL draft
With over an hour and a half left until the deadline passes, it is very possible that more deals will occur that Cleveland is involved in or will impact the Browns. We will update this article if it falls into the latter.
