Rumors for the Day:
- Bryan Alvarez is now outright saying AJ Lee is returning to WWE and she will team up with her husband, CM Punk, in a match against Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch at Wrestlepalooza.
- Meanwhile, Fightful Select says WWE is hopeful this won’t be a one off for Lee but they would still be happy if this is all they get. It looks like she could be back by SmackDown this Friday.
- PW Insider notes WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre is expected for that show as well.
- Wrestling Observer Radio says The Usos are likely reuniting to square off against The Vision, as teased on WWE TV, and it will likely happen at Wrestlepalooza.
- Konnan claimed on his Keepin It 100 podcast that a lot of people he talks to who work in AEW have no respect for Tony Khan and only do what he asks so they can get paid.
- The NXT return to Full Sail on Sept. 16 has now sold out, according to PW Insider.
