What is the story about?
Each
practice day this season, the Kansas City Chiefs release an official injury report leading up to the next game. In the NFL’s Week 3, the Chiefs will hit the road to play the Miami Dolphins in the noon slate on Sunday.
Here is the Chiefs’ final official injury report of the week, courtesy of the team’s official website:
Chiefs
- Left tackle Josh Simmons (Back) has been ruled out after missing all-week practice.
- On Friday, head coach Andy Reid said Simmons is “making progress. We just got to see where it all goes here.”
- Safety Chamarri Conner (Knee) is listed as doubtful after being a limited participant for the third consecutive day.
- Reid’s quote about Conner on Friday seemed to indicate the safety would be making his season debut in Week 3: “Conner did some work today, but he’ll be deactivated this afternoon. He’s making progress, so he’s up practicing and moving around.”
The following players had no game status
- Cornerback Mansoor Delane (Shoulder) had no game status; Reid said there’s “a good chance” Delane plays in Miami.
- Defensive end Felix Anudike-Uzomah (Quad) was a full participant in Thursday and Friday’s practice after starting the week limited.
- Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed (Knee) was a limited participant in all three practices this week; his knee is regularly managed with limited practice reps.
- Defensive tackle Chris Jones (Calf) was a limited participant in all three practices this week. He has been dealing with the calf injury since Week 1; he was questionable to play last week.
The following players were also full participants in practice and did not have a game status.
- LB Jeff Bassa (Shoulder)
- DB Jadon Canady (Knee)
- LB Jack Cochrane (Calf)
- DB Jaden Hicks (Biceps)
