Three Texas football players were named to this season’s preseason Sean Alexander Freshman of the Year Award watch list. Among them, linebacker Tyler Arkinson, wide receiver Jermaine Bishop Jr., and edge rusher Richard Wesley. The Longhorns’ three selections to the watch list leads college football.
Currently defensive leader Colin Simmons, an edge rusher, was named to the watch list in 2024.
Simmons was Texas’ first player to make the list that year.
