Earlier this year, there was a lot of talk about the future of Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman. He was suspended a few times in 2025 for being late to team meetings, and even Bills owner Terry Pegula had less than flattering things to say about him. But new head coach Joe Brady and QB Josh Allen said in February that they believed in him and when it came time to step up against the Detroit Lions, he did just that.
Coleman caught six passes on six targets for 63 yards despite playing out of
position for a good chunk of the game filling in for DJ Moore. Moore was injured in the first half of the game, and Buffalo didn’t have another speedy receiver. Enter Coleman, who converted on 3rd and 6 and 3rd and 7 during the game on scoring drives, including an impressive catch in front of the Bills sideline.
Coleman has faced his problems and spoke to the media when he didn’t have to. He’s taken accountability. On Thursday night he stepped up in a big way when the Bills needed him. With Moore likely to miss time with his injury, they’ll need Coleman more than ever.
