The Cavaliers leaned on high effort and intensity to disrupt the Heat and leave South Beach with a 1-1 series split.
WINNER – Cavs NBA record keeps growing
The Cavaliers, despite all their early-season woes, have proven that they can still fire
away from three.
With a three-pointer by Dean Wade in the middle of the third quarter, the Cavaliers had their 99th game in a row in which they have hit at least 10 threes.
This continued their streak of the most games of 10+ three-pointers in league history. The previous record was held at 97 games by the Rockets across the 2018-2020 seasons. For now, the Cavs keep on cooking.
WINNER – Heart and Hustle
The Cavaliers were truly clawing the bottom of the barrel for available bodies on the roster in their second game in Miami following a heartbreaking loss on Monday.
Darius Garland, Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley and Jaylon Tyson were the newest names on the injury report.
Therefore, Craig Porter Jr, Nae’Qwan Tomlin, Luke Travers, Tyrese Proctor and Thomas Bryant became full participants in tonight’s clash against Miami.
The Numbers were staggering with how they delivered.
They shocked many by upsetting the Heat 130-116. As a collective, they united to avenge the traumatizing loss from Monday. The starters outside of Jarrett Allen and De’Andre Hunter were all net negatives. Meanwhile the five mentioned above were the top five on the team in plus minus for the Wine and Gold.
That’s nuts.
These are the types of games that fans will recall in 2026 and beyond. Imagine being with your friends and someone says, “remember that game where Craig Porter Jr and Tyrese Proctor went off against the Heat?” that is gonna hit different and I am here for that.
WINNER – Craig Porter Island Truthers
This one goes out to the haters, the non-believers, and the disgruntled. Craig Porter jr was an instrumental component of the Cavaliers comeback against the Heat. It all was on display for CPJ who finished with 19 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, and 4 blocks. Crazy night for Porter Jr, now the dilemma for the CPJ hive is whether or not to sell their stock or let it keep rising?
WINNER – Charge leading the Charge
The Charge Alums were stealing the show in South Beach. After the Cavaliers were looking like they were in an endless climb to smell a lead, in came a wave of Luke Travers and Nae’Qwan Tomlin who swung the momentum of the game. The two combined as a +31 in the game and truthfully had a pivotal stretch in the early portion of the third. The hustle was contagious as the Cavaliers were flying on both ends during their shared shift. A pivotal spark for a team punching above their level.
WINNER – Jarrett Allen reminds people that he is a star
In a game in which, the stars were either out due to injury or rest, Jarrett Allen took the opportunity to remind us all that yes, he is a star in his own right.
Allen was aggressive on the offensive end, searching for mismatches on switches and operating primary as a dominant post up and roller.
Games like this are a reminder that when the other three stars of the Cavaliers are on the floor you can’t use the box score to assess Allen’s level of play. Turns out being the fourth banana requires a level of sacrifice. Allen finished the game with 30 points and 10 rebounds.
