The playoffs start this weekend, and while the Cowboys didn’t make the tournament this season, a number of former Cowboys are playing for playoff teams this weekend.
Some of the obvious ones are recent departures like Trevon Diggs, DeMarcus Lawrence, and Rico Dowdle, but I thought there had to be more, so I looked up the rosters of the 14 playoff teams and scanned those rosters for familiar names. What I found were 20 players on playoff rosters that had been with the Cowboys at one time in the past.
Here’s an overview of which former Cowboys are playoff-bound while their former teammates in Dallas get to spend the next few weekends on the couch wondering about the coaching changes coming to Dallas.

Note that this is just a result of a cursory glance at the team rosters, there may be more former Cowboys on the rosters than are listed in the table above. Obviously not all of these players are on the 53-man roster, though the names in bold are on the active rosters of their team.
Perhaps some of these former Cowboys will influence how much you support the individual playoff teams this year. The good news: there is – and this remains a universal truth – no reason whatsoever to support the Eagles.
