Salahdine Parnasse looks ready to test the UFC’s lightweight top five after easily dismantling Dan Hooker via first-round TKO (body kick and punches) earlier today (Sat., Sept. 5, 2026) at UFC Paris LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Accor Arena in Paris, France.
Parnasse, who is a former KSW two-division champion, came into Saturday’s main event as a massive betting favorite despite never competing inside of the Octagon before. Oddsmakers felt comfortable handing Parnasse the reigns over Hooker because
of his track record outside of UFC, which included an active five-fight win streak all by way of knockout. So even though Hooker has loads of UFC experience and has pulled off an upset or two during his time this was all about Parnasse and how fast he was going to find a finish.
Sadly for Hooker, Parnasse needed just about half a round to uncork a perfectly-placed kick that slammed into Hooker’s liver. “Hangman” grimaced in pain, but covered up and still tried to fight. That’s when Parnasse rushed in for a quick head kick followed by a few punches that put an end to the fight. It was downright impressive and a huge way for Parnasse to announced his arrival to one of UFC’s most stacked divisions.
