Week 7 gave us some important results for the 2025 college football season. Alabama looks good again after three consecutive ranked wins. Indiana announced their legitimacy for this year’s national championship
with their win at Oregon. Texas topped Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry. Penn State lost at home to Northwestern, prompting the firing of head coach James Franklin earlier today. It has been a roller coaster of a season so far.

The biggest riser in the poll was USF, moving up five spots. The Miami Hurricanes remained at #2 during their second bye week. Michigan dropped out of the top 25. Oklahoma fell eight spots. Week 8 has five top 25 matchups: #10 LSU at #17 Vanderbilt, #5 Ole Miss at #9 Georgia, #11 Tennessee at #6 Alabama, #20 USC at #13 Notre Dame, and #23 Utah at #15 BYU.
