The Los Angeles Rams have fallen to 2-4, and though their season looks bleak, the Rams aren’t out of contention, yet. They still have another 11 games to define their season. Their last three losses have been decided by one score. No moral victories in the NFL, sure, but this team is still competitive as the Rams aren’t getting steamrolled. They are fighting, they aren’t winning.
If the Rams can improve on their level of play even just a tad, that could translate to the wins they are looking for.
That could turn their one score losses into one score wins, or better. Those wins, could turn their season from a lost one, to a winning one.
There’s still time.
Are the Rams dead in the water?
Technically, no.
At 2-4, the Rams don’t have the worst record in the NFL, they aren’t eliminated from the playoffs, but in a season where they were projected as the best team in the NFL, a 2-4 start is a massive disappointment. It’s so disappointing that people are ready to fairly write the Rams off.
Now, whereas writing the Rams off may be fair after six weeks, is it right?
You’re telling me there’s a chance for L.A. to make the postseason?
Yes. The Rams can still make the postseason.
L.A. may not win another game this year, they also could win enough to make a postseason run. Both outcomes are possible. Unless someone has the Grays Sports Almanac, no one knows how this season will end.
You can make an educated guess that the Rams are dead after six weeks, but that’s not a fact, yet. What is a fact is the Rams can still turn their season around.
However unlikely it is, I’m telling you there’s a chance.
