When the Cleveland Browns traded DE Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams this summer, many talked about the NFL draft picks coming back as “basically (a round later)” due to assumptions about the outcome of the 2026 NFL season. Then the Rams lost and lost Garrett in Week 1, dealt with an injury to WR Puka Nacua, saw DT Aaron Donald miss a game, and dropped to 2-4 after Week 6.
Through six weeks, Los Angeles’ first-round pick coming back to Cleveland is closer to the Top 5 than the team is to making
the NFL playoffs. Garrett has not returned to practice yet, and now the Rams are dealing with four other major injuries, starting with WR Davante Adams being out potentially to the end of the season:
On top of that, DT Poona Ford ruptured his triceps and will miss the rest of the season, with fellow DT Kobie Turner set to miss four to six weeks with a groin injury.
The icing on the cake is that newly signed kicker Blake Grupe tore his ACL making a tackle and will now miss the rest of the season.
Let’s see if we have the injury roundup correct:
- Best defensive lineman in the NFL (Garrett) still not back from surgery
- One of the best route runners and redzone threats (Adams) out for most of the season
- 2 very good defensive tackles injured, with one (Ford) out for the year and the other (Turner) missing a month to a month and a half
- Second kicker of the year is now out, and a third will need to be signed
Given their 2-4 record and all of these injuries, where do you think the Rams finish the season? Which pick will they send to the Browns?
