Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in White Sox fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
This week, we proffer a very simple question: Do the White Sox take Roch Cholowsky with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 draft?
The UCLA shortstop has destroyed pitchers through his first 15 games, driving out eight homers and driving in 18, while slashing .309/.461/.818 — numbers
that frankly don’t seem quite real. After driving out 23 homers in 66 games in 2024, Cholowsky is on pace for 35 this season — an output that would tie Cholowsky for seventh all-time in NCAA history. Cholowsky is said to be one of those rare MLB-ready collegians, meaning he is sure to see the South Side in the 2020s, if not by 2027.
But hey, we’re not here to put a thumb on the scale, just reporting the facts. It’s your choice!
