New York Giants: 7-10. Thus far, the Giants’ offense has struggled at training camp. Given offensive coordinator Matt Nagy’s mediocre play-calling resume, it all makes sense. In three out of four years as the Chicago Bears’ primary play-caller, his offenses ranked 22nd or worse in scoring and 24th or worse in total yards. He has a dynamic quarterback in Jaxson Dart, but the young signal-caller must learn to protect himself in a run-first offense. Wideout Malik Nabers may need time to get back to 100 percent coming off a torn ACL. The Giants have too many offensive question marks to feel good about their season outlook.

8) New bullies on the block? After months of talk about John Harbaugh building a new culture with the Giants, will all the chatter translate to the field? For a team with one winning season in the last nine campaigns, there certainly seems to be a newfound confidence. Harbaugh favorite Patrick Ricard, the fullback who followed the Super Bowl-winning coach from Baltimore to Big Blue this offseason, told NFL Network this week that the Giants want to “bully” any team that comes into MetLife Stadium. That would be a major departure from the G-Men we’ve come to know over the past decade, and first up in 2026 are the Vikings on Saturday. Remember, the Ravens didn’t do enough bullying in the final season of Harbaugh’s 18-year tenure with the team, which is why he was available this offseason. 23. New York Giants. Andrew Thomas was arguably the Giants’ best player last year, earning a 90.3 PFF grade that tied his career high. His issue has been staying healthy, having missed significant time in both 2023 and 2024. They drafted Francis Mauigoa in the first round, and if he can hit the ground running, then the unit looks a lot stronger, but it’s a group that just might be another season away from making a bigger impact.

Rookie wide receiver Malachi Fields has stood out early. Nagy praised the young receiver’s focus and execution.
“It’s impressive. He’s a kid that, literally every install that we do, run and pass, he’s a kid that when you’re walking up in front of the group and you’re teaching, his eyes never leave you. Never. I mean, he wants to know everything. Then he gets on the field and he does almost everything right. And then he’s talented,” Nagy told reporters. “I think a lot of him, and I think Chad Hall’s done a hell of a job with him.”

Arvell Reese also won’t being spending big, even though his deal includes $47.8 million guaranteed. “I just signed it and then went to the hotel and then just got ready for the practice the next day,” Reese said. “I don’t really got [anything] to buy right now. I already got everything. I got a car and an apartment. So, I’m good right now.”

Jaxson Dart will thank defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson one day for helping him grow as the Giants franchise quarterback. Maybe not right this moment.
“Now we’re running plays and we get to see like, OK, not only are we doing what we do, but now we get to see a crazy defense with Dennard and what he does,” offensive coordinator Matt Nagy said.

Darius Alexander believes he can be highly productive — and then some at this level after going largely unnoticed in college at Toledo.
“When I’m on the field, I tell myself I’m that boy,” Alexander said after Tuesday’s 12th camp practice. “My goal is to be the best and most dominant D-tackle in the NFL. And I think I can accomplish that. I’m just motivating myself every day to work hard — and whoop ass when I can. So that’s what I’m about.”
