The USMNT picked up November where they left things off in October, building a four match winning streak thanks to goals by Giovanni Reyna and Folarin Balogun. Given the limited minutes he’s seen, as well as comments by the coach, there was some doubt about how much time Reyna would see in the window but he received the start on Saturday and rewarded the managers trust by opening the scoring with a towering header (who would’ve thought we’d be saying that about Giovanni Reyna?) in the fourth minute.
The lead wouldn’t last long as Paraguay would score in the 10th minute as Miguel Almiron assisted a Alex Arce headed goal. The teams would play largely level for the next sixty minutes until some nice combination play between Reyna and Folarin Balogun led to Balogun smashing it home to break the deadlock.
