Devin Neal has found his next home in his football journey.
The former Kansas great has signed with the Minnesota Vikings, according to Jordan Schultz. Neal spent his rookie year with the New Orleans Saints, totaling 206 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games.
The Vikings announced that Neal has been signed to the practice squad.
Neal was a sixth-round draft pick of the Saints in 2025. Prior to taking his talents to the next level, Neal set multiple school records in Lawrence.
Neal set the all-time rushing
record at Kansas with 4,343 yards and rushing touchdowns with 49. He is the only Jayhawk running back to log three seasons with 1,000 or more yards.
After getting his feet wet with the Saints, it will be interesting to see if Neal can find a path to the field in Minnesota. The Vikings placed Jordan Mason on short-term injured reserve with a fractured thumb. There is little depth behind Aaron Jones in the backfield, potentially opening up a spot for Neal.
