It is a big night for the Kentucky Wildcats as they face off against the Michigan State Spartans inside Madison Square Garden. Game time is set for 6:30 PM ET on ESPN, with online stream coverage through
WatchESPN and the ESPN app.
With some question marks surrounding the team after their loss last week to Louisville, tonight is the perfect opportunity to tip the fans back in their favor against a talented Michigan State team.
It will all start with the battle in the frontcourt. The Spartans enter tonight’s game with a rotation that could give the Cats fits all evening if Brandon Garrison and Malachi Moreno are not prepared to go. However, after a ‘get right game’ for the duo down low against Eastern Illinois, their confidence should be high heading into tonight’s tip-off.
The Cats will also be without point guard Jaland Lowe. Can Denzel Aberdeen continue to thrive as the lead guard in this offense? If so, you have to think that the UK has a great shot of pulling off the win tonight.
The Champions Classic has not been kind to Kentucky as of late, but a win over Duke last year got the fanbase and this team geared up for what was a very solid season. Can tonight act as the same slingshot? Let’s hope so.
