Spain boss Luis de la Fuente was full of praise once again for Lamine Yamal after another impressive showing for the world champions in the Nations League.
Yamal struck an eye-catching opening goal from range in the 3-1 win to maintain his great form at the start of the season.
De la Fuente says the teenager is getting better all the time but still has so much more to give.
“I think he never ceases to amaze us all. He’s so talented that there’s still so much more to see from the best of Lamine,” he told
reporters.
“He’s growing by leaps and bounds. He’s a key player for the national team, a player with real influence. And we celebrate that.”
Yamal has made a habit of scoring early for Spain over the international break and De la Fuente was asked if there was anything in particular that seems to fire up the Barca star.
“All our pre-match talks are geared towards that goal,” he answered.
“We’ve managed to start the game that way in all three matches. That shows the team goes out there to demonstrate its style of play from the first minute.”
Spain now jet out to Croatia for their final game of the international break on Tuesday in Split.
