After weeks of wondering whether Liverpool FC would in fact conduct a review of head coach Arne Slot following an incredibly difficult 2025-26 season season or not, it seems that, yes, a review has indeed been conducted.

More details will come out in the coming hours,
I’m sure, but Andoni Iraola is freshly unemployed, having left Bournemouth and used to work with Liverpool’s Sporting Director Richard Hughes. There’s little doubt that he at least appears to be the odds-on favourite to become the next Liverpool FC head coach.
Thank you for number 20, Arne. No matter how bad the last year was, and no matter all of our regrets at how things went this season, we’ll always have that 2024-25 title and the hope and optimism that went along with it and so we wish Slot the best in whatever he does next. YNWA.
