It all goes down tomorrow night (Sat., Oct. 11, 2025) at UFC Rio LIVE on ESPN+ from inside Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as former UFC Lightweight king Charles Oliveira returns to action opposite
short-notice replacement Mateusz Gamrot.
On Friday evening, the two rivals came face-to-face for one final staredown at the UFC Rio ceremonial weigh ins (watch HERE).
UFC Rio is definitely a step above the average “Fight Night” event, and the main event is a big part of that quality. Though Gamrot is stepping up to replace the injured Rafael Fiziev, this is far from a downgrade. In fact, it’s an equally interesting match up, as Oliveira’s vaunted jiu-jitsu prowess will be pitted against one of the division’s very best wrestlers.
In the co-main event, Bantamweight standouts Deiveson Figueiredo and Montel Jackson will square off. Figueiredo was a dominant force at 125-pounds, but since jumping up to Bantamweight, he’s struggled to break into the Top Five. Though still a highly regarded fighter, “Figgy” is now playing the role of high-level gatekeeper against one of the division’s biggest hitters after losing his last two bouts.
