The Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots face off in Week 8 of the 2025 NFL regular season in significantly different places. While most expected the Browns and Patriots to struggle this year, after
both were picking in the top five of the 2025 NFL draft, New England has the second-best record in the AFC and has one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL this year.
Cleveland is still trying to figure out what they have with rookie QB Dillon Gabriel, which is why they are acting like normal teams do, but the Browns passing game has some wanting to see QB Shedeur Sanders sooner rather than later.
Coming off a week where TE David Njoku, OT Jack Conklin and DT Mike Hall Jr. did not suit up, the injury report for Week 8 could be huge for Cleveland. This week, in copying our friends from Pats Pulpit, our injury write-up will look a little different.
DID NOT PARTICIPATE
Patriots
- LB Elijah Ponder (knee)
- S Craig Woodson (ankle)
Browns
- WR Jerry Jeudy (knee)
- DT Adin Huntington (concussion)
Jeudy is a surprise addition to the injury report, while Huntington, like all concussions, must follow the direction of the independent neurologist. Woodson has been New England’s starting safety this year, while Ponder has played a lot of snaps on special teams.
LIMITED PARTICIPATION
Patriots
- WR Stefon Diggs (chest)
- OT Morgan Moses (not injury related — other)
- DT Christian Barmore (not injury related — other)
- DT Khyiris Tonga (knee)
- LB Harold Landry III (ankle)
Browns
- TE David Njoku (knee)
- TE Blake Whiteheart (shoulder)
- G Joel Bitonio (rest)
- DT Maliek Collins (rest)
- DT Mason Graham (knee)
- DT Shelby Harris (knee)
- CB Denzel Ward (hip)
- CB Tyson Campbell (quad)
- S Rayshawn Jenkins (wrist)
A lot of names, and important names, on the limited list, including Njoku, practicing after missing last week’s game.
FULL PARTICIPATION
Patriots
- CB Christian Gonzalez (hamstring)
- CB Charles Woods (knee)
- S Jaylinn Hawkins (hamstring)
Browns
- DT Mike Hall Jr. (knee)
- S Grant Delpit (toe)
A big development to see Hall on the full participation list to start the week, which should lead to his first active game of the season.
