Johnny Walker is not happy with his brother and fellow UFC fighter, Valter Walker, for choking out a legless Zion Clark this weekend at Karate Combat 59 (watch the unbelievable highlights HERE). In fact, Walker called his brother’s performance “shameful for the Walker legacy.”
Ouch.
On Friday, Valter Walker took to the Karate Combat pit to go up against Clark, who is a well-known legless wrestler and professional fighter. The big selling point for this main event matchup is that Walker has finished
four-straight opponents inside of the UFC’s Octagon via heel hook submission, which was a funny angle considering Clark has no legs. It was an obvious mismatch and more of a gimmick fight, but the finish ended up being real.
Walker, who couldn’t utilize his incredible heel hook skill set, decided to take Clark’s back early on and sink in a rear-naked choke to force the tap. It didn’t look like Walker was operating at 100% or trying to inflict serious damage, but it still wasn’t a great look for a streaking UFC fighter to manhandle a legless opponent.
After the fight, UFC light heavyweight veteran Johnny Walker took to social media to show his disgust for his bother’s performance. Walker even went as far as saying Valter disgraced the family name. Check it out below and let us know your final thoughts on all of this!
“I am ashamed! He is chocking a indefensible guy, 4 times lighter then him, and without leg, very disrespectful. Take someone of your size, you are shameful for the Walker legacy,” wrote Walker.
“@valterwalkerufc, this is why I did not come to this fight, it wasn’t a fight, it was a … I can’t even give it a name, can someone tell me what it was please.”
