It didn’t take long for speculation to morph into a confirmation on the Vikings quarterback front.
A few hours after Adam Schefter hinted that Minnesota was trending toward starting Carson Wentz at quarterback against the Bills in Week 9 as normal starter Kyler nurses a hamstring injury, we know now that will in fact be the case:
Murray’s injury was suffered last week against the Lions. And he wasn’t playing particularly outstanding football this season to date.
Wentz threw three touchdowns in Week 1’s win over the Packers after Murray got hurt while scrambling early in the game.
Now the Bills won’t have to guess which quarterback they’ll see inside U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Monday night. It’ll be Wentz.
