Although the Kansas City Chiefs’ 20-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on “Sunday Night Football” in Week 7 will sting in the stays to come, the team appears to have come out of the game without major injury. Head coach Andy Reid’s only postgame injury update was on linebacker Nick Bolton, who briefly left the contest in the third quarter before returning.
“Nothing injury wise,” the coach remarked. “Nick had some spasms in his neck, and he’ll work through that”
Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star did note that kicker Harrison Butker went into the locker room between the third and fourth quarters but was back on the field before the commercial break ended.
The Chiefs will be back on the practice field on Wednesday to prepare for their Week 8 road game against the Denver Broncos — a matchup that may ultimately determine this year’s AFC West champion. We will monitor the status of Bolton, as well as wideout Rashee Rice (hamstring) and tackle Jaylon Moore (concussion), who missed Sunday night due to injuries.
For their part, Denver saw wideout Jaylon Waddle (chest) and defensive tackle Zack Allen (hamstring) leave early in their Week 7 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
