Top Rumor of the Day: NXT shuffle
There have already been multiple main roster call ups from NXT in the just over one month since WrestleMania 42 took over Las Vegas. The likes of Ethan Page, Ricky Saints, and Sol Ruca have been making an impact since they were brought in, and that’s without even mentioning Oba Femi looking like a top guy in the making.
Now, however, Rope Break brings word that as the summer wears on there will be another NXT shuffle up driven by
continued main roster call ups. It’s unclear exactly who that will be, though there are some obvious names who have been there for many years who would seem to be strong candidates, like current NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo.

Meanwhile, Rope Break also brings word that Nikki Blackheart will be a part of all this, as she is expected to make her debut under the NXT banner within the coming months. She’ll be part of those tasked with replacing the call ups, and she’s allegedly already got the support of some big name stars within the company.
Other rumors floating around
- Per Rope Break, the creative plan as of last week was to have Rhea Ripley retain the women’s championship when she faces Jade Cargill at Clash in Italy.
- They also say Logan Paul and Sol Ruca were injured coming out of SNME. Paul suffered some kind of leg injury, the nature and severity of which are still being determined. Even less was known about Ruca’s condition.
- The possibility of Hiromu Takahashi joining the NXT roster has been discussed internally at WWE, according to Fightful Select. The site’s report says Takahashi is considered “the big rumored one” among current free agents or wrestlers. While the decorated New Japan Jr. Heavyweight’s signing still isn’t confirmed, this is another sign he’ll follow Naraku’s path to WWE.
- False Finish echoed recent rumors and reports that Baron Corbin is on his way back to WWE, saying they expect it to happen “soon.”
- Mistico missed a scheduled tag match in Mexico last week, appearing at the venue in Puebla on crutches to tell fans himself. SuperLuchas says the AEW and CMLL star is believed to be dealing with a knee injury. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said Mistico won’t be out “long-term” and could be back as soon as this Friday’s Arena Mexico show.
