Junior Maryland golfer Emil Riegger was named Co-Big Ten Golfer of the Week, it was announced Thursday. The honor was Riegger’s second of the season.
Riegger won the individual title at the Bell Bank “Pay It Forward” Collegiate contest on Tuesday. He scored a -10 overall, posting scores of 66, 69 and 71, respectively, across the three courses. Riegger’s 206 overall score tied his career-best across a 54-hole slate.
After earning All-Big Ten second team honors in 2025, Riegger looks to be on pace to duplicate
his success. He and the men’s golf team will next compete at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial on April 13-14.
