Lavar Keys, a 3-star wide receiver in the class of 2026 out of DeMatha Catholic High School in Landover, Maryland, is set to announce his college decision on Sunday, November 16.
Keys was originally committed
to Penn State but decommitted and reopened his recruitment after the Nittany Lions parted ways with longtime head coach James Franklin after a disappointing start to the 2025 season. He’s taken multiple visits in the last month or so and announced a top three of Indiana, Maryland and Kansas State on Twitter”
He was previously offered by programs such as North Carolina, Minnesota, Wisconsin and West Virginia, among others. He was present in College Park, Maryland, for an official visit during the Hoosiers’ 55-10 win over the Terrapins on November 1.
Indiana has been involved with a few players who originally committed to Penn State under Franklin, among them being Keys, 4-star defensive back Matt Sieg and 4-star running back Messiah Mickens.
