It looks like the Magnolia Bowl win over LSU and top five ranking is paying off quickly for Ole Miss football and its recruiting efforts.
Multi-sport athlete and four star safety Braylen Bedford out of Brentwood, Tenn. announced a commitment to Ole Miss on Sunday for the class of 2028. The 5’10” 170 lbs. do everything prospect was considering offers from SEC members Tennessee, Kentucky and Vanderbilt among others.
A consensus top 100 prospect and top five player from the Volunteer State, Bedford will potentially help to replace some of the departing secondary from the current roster and next year’s roster. Previously from Vardaman, Miss., Bedford transferred to Brentwood Academy for his junior season this year. He played both sides of the ball while a sophomore in Mississippi, but he is projected to play in the secondary at the next level.
It is early to be getting commitments for the class of 2028, but its clear Pete Golding and his staff are wanting to strike while the iron is hot with prospects who they have been in touch with already. As always coach Golding exhibited his usual excitement on social media with the latest commitment.
