Nate Ament ended up where most experts figured he would — even if it wasn’t exactly at the moment they predicted.
Ament was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with pick No. 13 in the 2026 NBA Draft on Tuesday night at the Barclays Center.
Well, technically, it was the Miami Heat who made the pick because they held the pick, but it was included as part of the blockbuster trade between
Miami and the Bucks that saw superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo heading to South Florida in exchange for a major haul.
Most experts had projected Ament to go at No. 10 to Milwaukee, but the Bucks tabbed Arizona guard Brayden Burries there instead.
Ament is heading to a Bucks team that now will be in the middle of a full rebuild, and as a first round pick and with Antetokounmpo leaving town, opportunity abounds for Ament to carve out a role and serve as a piece to try and turn around Jimmy Haslam’s NBA franchise.
Best of luck in Milwaukee, Nate.
