ND holds CJ Bailey to his worst statistical output of the season
The defense is……starting to click. They are playing much faster and more confident. They delivered in a huge moment against Boise – The offense was shooting themselves in the foot what did the defense do? Gave up only 7 points while picking up a veteran qb 4 times, and nearly getting a 5th. Tae Johnson has turned into a budding star, Moore is the best corner in college football, and we are finally starting to see some pressures get home. I expect this defense to make CJ Daniels look like Al Golden used to make quarterbacks look.
Hot Take
Eli Raridon breaks out (again) and scores 2 TDs
Raridon is having a very strong year- he has more than doubled his career production in just 5 games. He has improved his routes, blocking, YACs, and overall composure as a player. He started off the season with some big numbers, and has since leveled out a bit. That is mostly by scheme as Carr has found a wild amount of success throwing to Fields and Faison. While Fields and Faison will get theirs…NC State will look to force Carr to throw in the middle of the field. They will do everything to take away (in this order): Price/Love……Faison…..Fields…..Love out of the backfield. This offense is forcing opponents to pick their poison, and this week Raridon is the benefactor and reaches pay dirt twice.
